QEMU ("Quick Emulator") is a versatile open source system emulator that runs under major desktop operating systems such as Windows and Linux. It provides fast and robust virtualization for a a large variety of embedded targets.
EUROS Embedded Studio provides seamless integration with QEMU. Thus it is possible to verify embedded applications without without the availability of a physical embedded device. This integration is helpful for proof of concept of an application as well as for test and analysis of complex – and even non-existing – hardware platforms.
QEMU can emulate among others the following CPU architectures: x86, x86_64, ColdFire V2, PowerPC, MIPS, ARM7, ARM9, ARM11, Cortex M3, Cortex A8, OMAP310, OMAP2420, etc.
